The Tablao "El Cardenal" has a long tradition of more than 37 years of experience and is a mandatory reference point in Cordoba flamenco. For his impeccable career he has received the Award for the best tourist product in 2008, awarded by the Cordoba Tourism Board.
There is little data we have from the first moments, of the germ that gave rise to the Tablao Flamenco "El Cardenal" and many are the memories that under the umbrella of the disappeared El Cardenal Restaurant, when back in 1987, a group of friends met, with the enthusiasm of Rafael Rodríguez Fernández "Merengue" and the company of Concha Calero, and began to offer a flamenco show in the basement of Cardenal Herrero Street next to the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, which would last about two years. Currently, and already with more than 35 years of winning, with the firm commitment of a Cordoba business group and the artistic direction of the renowned dance couple "Antonio Alcazar and Victoria Palacios" and the accompaniment of the award-winning guitarist "Alberto Lucena" the steps and dances of the Tablao are heading very close to Buen Pastor Street number 2 without losing the gaze of the Mosque-Cathedral, where it is consolidated to this day under the name of El Tablao Flamenco "El Cardenal".
